Has there ever been a time in your life that you felt as though you could not move forward? It’s as if putting one foot in front of the other was so exhausting you wanted to give up. You felt like you were totally alone and no one cared or was there to share the burden. More than once I have heard that you are to lay your cares and burdens on the Lord and that is very true (“casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you” 1 Peter 5:7). But have you ever thought about the fact that as the great Provider, God has given your brothers and sisters the privilege and blessing of helping you. Sometimes we are just too proud to ask. Perhaps you feel like it would be an imposition on them. That you would be disrupting their lives. But because of the shed blood of Jesus, you are family. The family of God should be even closer than that born into as you share redemption of the precious blood of the risen Savior. So, count your blessings and share with the family you have been given.
