The days seem to be passing with great haste. Half of 2025 is already gone. So, in thinking about my goals for the year, I realize that I have not accomplished all I thought I would. Is God disappointed when we fall short in our plan? But think about it for a moment. God has the plan, and many times we add to His ways, and our expectations for ourselves do not always match. Perhaps, it is our self-evaluation that defeats us. Remember that the Lord knows you from the inside out. He created you and never puts more on you than He deems is right. We are the ones creating guilt and condemnation. God is trying to conform us into the image of Jesus. We hinder His perfect plan and way. While thinking on these things, consider keeping these scriptures in front of you:“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope”Jeremiah 29:11” Call on Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”Jeremiah 33:3” And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”Romans 8:28” And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”Romans 12:2Let this be the day you start on a more perfect path toward eternity!Lee Ann Hawkins
