He Is Risen!

April 20, 2025 By Justin Wright Leave a Comment

Can you imagine being overjoyed seeing Jesus as He walked, preached, healed, and taught daily? But then can you feel the pain and heartache when He was arrested, falsely accused, tortured, and put to death? Can you feel the despair and hopelessness?
As we read the account in John 20, Mary Magdalene went to anoint the precious body of the One who had saved her. He had driven out the demons that plagued every facet of her life. She now had a reason to live. Except that the One she worshipped and adored was no longer alive. She had cried many tears and was devastated in so many ways. She did not know what she was going to do next. What else could happen? But then she was at the tomb. The stone had been rolled away. She could not find the body. She searched and in other gospel accounts, the angel told her that He had risen. But what could she believe? So, she ran to tell John and Peter.
So much was happening. So many questions about where Jesus was. But He had told them.  He said He would be beaten and betrayed and rise again!  Can you imagine the sorrow, tears, joy, doubt, and fear? Many emotions!
Perhaps you are at a crossroads in your life. Not sure exactly what to believe, where to turn, how to feel. The answer is in the scriptures. Jesus did all these things. Jesus is alive and sitting at the right hand of the Father. Jesus did come to save you and offer the gift of eternal life. Will you repent of your sins and turn to Jesus, or will you reject His offer? It is your decision. Live in God’s presence now and forever or miss the opportunity of an eternal lifetime with the Lord.
