Have you ever wondered why things happen at certain times? We celebrated the birth of Jesus in December, and we just rejoiced at the Easter commemoration of our Savior’s resurrection. So, during certain times of the year, there are holidays, or you can even call them holydays. These are not by accident or coincidence. For God is all knowing and is in control of everything. He has made a purpose and a season for everything. In Ecclesiastes 3, some words help us to understand in a greater way. It starts “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven”. If you read the next seven verses, it explains all the phases of life. We consider bad and some good. But as God is the author of life, they are all good. As you study and read your Bible daily, look at these short scriptures. Meditate on them. Talk to the Lord about them and realize all contain purpose and are part of God’s plan. Are they all pleasant? NO. Are they all easy to deal with? NO. But God is with His children and walks with them through all phases of life. Know that no matter what you experience, God already knows the best way for you to get to the other side. So, take some time this week to look at His Word and ask the Lord to reveal what He wants you to know and do.Have a great week. Take an opportunity to speak the name of Jesus and make a difference in someone’s eternity.Lee Ann Hawkins
