Palm Sunday

John 12:13 ” Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, The  King of Israel”

    This Sunday we remember Palm Sunday. I am certain that you recall how the people laid out their clothes and palm branches to line the path that Jesus was riding on. Sounds like a Victory march. Sounds like He was loved and honored and, worshiped and exalted.

   But then the enemy decided to start his evil deeds. He used the religious leaders to stir the crowd. He told lies and the people believed him. How could they do this? Why would they do this? We can go back as far as Adam and Eve and see that satan makes his way seem so appealing. He makes it seem like God is the bad guy instead of the loving wonderful Father that He is.

  Before you are too harsh with your opinion of them, think of what you yourself may have done to take the praise you once had for Jesus and turn it in a different direction. If you think that you have never done this, take a few quiet moments to examine your own life.

   God always has the final say in the future. Next week we see that death was swallowed up in Victory. Take a few extra moments to spend with the Lord this week and give Him the praise that He is so worthy of.
