Power Is In The Truth

  As we walk in this world, there are many things that appear to be more powerful than we can handle. While this is true in the physical realm, the spiritual has quite different limitations. Consider, for a moment, the devil. He can appear as an angel of light. He can seduce a person into the area of accepting things as fact that are not. But just how much power does he have over a believer who truly trusts in God? The Bible tells us in 1 John 4 that those who are of God have overcome the world because the Holy Spirit lives in them. The truth is in them, for God is truth and light. However, satan is the great deceiver, the father of lies and deceit, and in him is only darkness. He may try to manifest himself as being the one who is showing you the good side of life, but you need to take hold of the words found in 1 Peter: ” Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour”. Lions hunt for the weak, the immature, and easy prey. Their roar is to frighten.  Be strong in the Lord. Join together with believers who hold fast to the commands of God. Grow and mature in the Word of God.  Stand against the foe of Jesus. Know that you are an overcomer, just as Christ has already overcome the world. Realize that true power is in the truth and not in what only appears to be real..Don’t live in fear for it truly is False Evidence Appearing Real.
